Ricky martin at Southland westfield melbourne 11/5/2013

Today Ricky Martin was at Southland from 12-2.10pm in Melbourne
For more photos  fans and Ricky visit our facebook

He was on time and so very happy to greet all his fans.

One of the first people to be in the line about number 10 got there at 6am in the morning to get the privilege of prime position and guaranteed autograph and photo with Ricky martin.

The system was ,400 wristbands given out and after that it was just if Ricky was able to stay longer he would meet people who did not have a wristband. From what I had heard Ricky had more commitments so he needed to be at so probably wouldn’t be able to go over time by to much.

He  did commit to seeing everyone who had a wristband .This system was to avoid arguments and problems in the crowd with queue jumpers , at these types of events it’s a regular accordance for people to jump queues  and its just not fair if someone made the effort to get there at 6am in the morning and they turn up at 11am.This is one of the first times I have come across an event like this with a number system and I think it should be done more often .

This still didn’t stop many people making up stories about losing wristbands of getting there early but no one ever gave them a wristband. Police where there also to help and there were no major scuffles only a few stubborn young girls who would leave when they were asked to go to the back of the queue when they pushed in .

So back to Ricky Martin.

He was a Gentleman to every fan that he meet and touched smiled and shook hands with many .He looked fine and fresh considering he only just got of the plane from Sydney around 9am .

Ricky did a small q and a before he signed .He also took the time to sign autographs for disabled people who had been waiting there to see him patiently.

He may tour later this year Melbourne oct nov.

Dear V-line no one wants to bare thier bum on the V-line train.

Dear V line

During the school holidays on a lovely trip to see my mother with my two children for Easter we were astounded at the events that unfolded on the v line train. Let me put it like this we saw, two Vaginas and a bottom on the V-line train.

V-line put the v in vagina on the weekend .Like something out of a hidden camera show or an old Carry on movie modesty was lost on the v line train and embarrassment was the word of the day for two unfortunate young girls and those who had to witness the spectacle.

My own eyes saw a lady enter the toilets and at the time I didn’t know the system of lights on or lights off for occupied .I then saw a young man come along and press the button to open the door to the toilet. To gasps and horror down the whole train that had a full view of the toilet door, it opened where a lady was seen jumping from the toilet and franticly trying to close the door. The young man stood there in shook, before running away.

Then not even 10 minutes later another young woman entered the toilet as I thought “god I hope that wouldn’t happen again”. As I turned away and looked back a young woman with her face in her phone was at the toilet door and pushed the button to open the door again. To everyone’s shock the door opened revealing another lady jumping from the toilet and trying to close the door .The lady on the phone waited outside laughing and then entered the toilet.

By this time I noticed when the light is off the door is locked from the inside not merely just closed. The lady who just entered hadn’t locked the door .Thankfully no one came by again and no one else was embarrassed.

This leads to the question why? Why does the door not automatically lock when closed? Why is there a system that you need to press a second button whilst inside to lock the door. Once inside there is a big sign on the door that reads, please lock the door to avoid embarrassment. This sign obviously is not working.

V-line may I suggest two ways to fix the problem. Place a sign on the outside of the door , so it can be seen before entering , or change the whole system that the door is also locked once closed .

Clearly this is a mayor problem and I’m sure as it happened in the time frame that I was on the train it has happened many times before.

How many complaint letters have you received so far?.

Please explain.

Regards

Concerned citizen for the modesty of v-line train toilet users

AND

To the commuters that travel on the v line please remember Press lock ,to avoid embarrassment and write to v line also ,your modesty shouldn’t have to be put at risk .

Stan Lee in Melbourne at Oz Comic con 2012

Stanley Martin Lieber
(born December 28, 1922), better known by the name Stan Lee is an American comic book writer, editor, actor, producer, publisher, television personality, and the former president and chairman of marvel comics.
Stan Lee was at Oz Comic con this weekend in Melbourne Australia. The room was at full capacity with everyone wanting to get a glimpse of Stan Lee and what he had to say .

He spoke about how he created the idea of Spiderman and was told Spiderman will never work ,no one likes spiders , nor hear about a week teenage boy as a hero. Yet after the first week of record sales ,he knew there was going to be allot more to be told about the Adventures of Spiderman.

He was asked many questions by fans one as young as 5 ,who asked” Who is your favourite character” ? To that he replied "All of them I created them so they are all my favourite ", with a big smile and chuckle .”

Stan Lee had a bit of a stumble and fall as he left the stage and like the true hero he is to his fans , got straight back up and appeared to be unhurt going on to sign 100′s of Autographs.

Oz Comic Con Melbourne 2012

Oz comic cons doors opened at 9am and with it a surge of fans were eagerly entering after waiting in a long line that snaked its way around the Melbourne Exhibition venue all the way down to the Pollywoodside. Once inside people would line up to purchase their tokens that would enable them to get a photo or autograph with Stan lee or one of the many other stars that were at Oz comic con this weekend. Such was the demand for a photo with Stan lee and Patrick Stewart that they sold out by 9.30am and even those with VIP passes missed out on photo opps .

One lady with her young family in hand that we interviewed had spent 22 hours on the train non stop to meet her Idol Stan lee. She purchased a VIP ticket worth $150 and was heartbroken to of missed out on getting the photo opp with Stan lee . A VIP ticket holder enables the user to be able to stand in a smaller line than gen ticket holders , Platinum holders the one above VIP who have spent $600 for the privilege get to be in front of the VIP holders.

It was reported that doors Saturday were shut by 10am and 11am Sunday due to the venue reaching full capacity and being unsafe for further customers to enter. Leaving customers with pre purchased tickets unable to enter.

Stan lee was a hit with adoring fans and received a standing ovation after his question time .Stan lee fell over when leaving the stage after his talk ,but still went on to sign Autographs for 3hours non stop for fans.

It was a Delight at Oz comic con to see everyone’s costumes ,that they had spent lots of money and time putting together .Thank you to everyone in costume for your time and efforts that made it such a colourful and visual experience.
